Eddie set a new world record in 2016 in deadlift because he could lift 500 kg, but he was knocked out as soon as he lifted it. He won the 2017 World’s Strongest Man competition and has since announced his intention to retire from the World’s Strongest Man due to health issues.

As an actor, he also starred in the movie Transformers: The Last Night in 2017, and in 2018, he appeared on a Channel 5 show called ‘Celebs in Solitude.’ In this show, he tried to spend five days in solitude.
